The Royal High School Club

The Royal High School has been a focus of Edinburgh life for centuries and as such has attracted many visits from celebrities, hosted many events and seen many other notable occasions. Dr Alexander Adam, celebrated Rector of the High School 1786 -1810, was honoured with a reception on the bicentenary of his death. Held in the newly refurbished Edinburgh University Library, speakers included a direct descendant, and the individuals who curated a splendid exhibition of Dr Adam's and other contemporary artefacts.
