The Royal High School Club was
founded in 1849 with the objective of maintaining the history and standards
of the principal school of Edinburgh. It has entered its
third active century with the same objectives in mind. The
move from Calton Hill to Barnton in 1968 and the change to comprehensive
in 1973 have not changed the objectives of
the Club, who welcome all former pupils to its membership
The 2015 Annual dinner was held at the the The Roxburghe Hotel,
Charlotte Square Edinburgh on Friday 27th March. Speakers
included Comedienne and Royal High FP Eleanor Morton, replying on behalf of the
Guests, and Dr Judith McClure, former Head of St George's School who proposed
the toast to the Club and School. A report and photographs can

12th September at the New Club -
Hon. Secretary Rab Forman has hung up his pen after more than thirty years in the
post, and a number of ex-Presidents and Rectors gathered to recognise Rab's
contribution to the Club and School. Click

The 2014 AGM was held on 27th March. 2001 Club President David Rutherford is
assuming the role of Hon. Secretary. The committee welcomed returning committee member David
Williamson, School Captain in 1991 and now Government and Communications
Director at the Scotch Whisky Association.
