The Royal High School Club was
founded in 1849 with the objective of maintaining the history and standards
of the principal school of Edinburgh. It has entered its
third active century with the same objectives in mind. The
move from Calton Hill to Barnton in 1968 and the change to comprehensive
in 1973 have not changed the objectives of
the Club, who welcome all former pupils to its membership
Prize-Giving took place on Friday 27 June.
Rector Jane Frith celebrated her final School event, and young iconic jam maker

Hon. Secretary Rab Forman hung up his pen after more than thirty years in the
post, briefly split by a spell as President in 1993. The
committee are planning a suitable event to recognise Rab's contribution to the
Club and School. 2001 Club President David Rutherford is
assuming the role. The committee welcomed returning committee member David
Williamson, School Captain in 1991 and now Government and Communications
Director at the Scotch Whisky Association.
The 2014 Annual Dinner was held at the Roxburghe Crowne
Plaza on Friday 7th March . Another splendid night -

A Drinks evening was
held in Edinburgh on Thursday 12th December. This event, the
first for several years was attended by over thirty FP's.
