The Royal High School Club was
founded in 1849 with the objective of maintaining the history and standards
of the principal school of Edinburgh. It has entered its
third active century with the same objectives in mind. The
move from Calton Hill to Barnton in 1968 and the change to comprehensive
education
in 1973 have not changed the objectives of
the Club, who welcome all former pupils to its membership

The 2010 Annual Dinner will
be held on Friday 5th March (6.45 pm for 7.30 pm) in the Roxburghe Hotel in Edinburgh. Speakers include
Dr John Halliday, Rector of Dundee High School, Jane Frith, the new Rector and
Austin Lafferty, a Glasgow solicitor noted for being a 'legal eagle' on Radio
Scotland. The School will again provide a fiddle
group which was rapturously received last year. Tickets
priced £35 can be obtained from the
Hon. Secy.

Sad news
in April for both present and former pupils was the
deaths of two outstanding Royal High boys,
Jim Ford and
Pringle Fisher.

We send our condolences to both families.

the AGM on 31st March Martin Bryden was elected President.
